Local restaurant that brings a fun, welcome, relaxing environment to locals and travelers alike
Cliff and Summer, after retiring from Law Enforcement, took the opportunity to start a new life in a place more aligned with their beliefs and values. They settled in a tiny town of 700 in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho. Set out to start a new life by working hard and raising our youngest son in the best environment they could provide.
They moved here with no family or friends in the area. While Cliff became a manager at a local hardware store, Summer started off cooking soups for a small company that was quickly expanding. With in a short time, Summer worked her way up to become a general manager and then the district manager over the 4 restaurants here in Idaho. During this time, they also worked on establishing a cattle ranch consisting of a few Scottish Highland cows and a couple of Yaks.
They began harvesting hay, breeding cattle, and butchering them to provide a healthy source of food that had no antibiotics, hormones, and were grass fed. They dreamed of starting a food truck or restaurant where their local beef could provide people the option of a wonderful, lean, healthy, local option. They found the opportunity to buy a restaurant right in the town of Horseshoe Bend.
Cliff and Summer started their new journey in May of 2019. Upon the first year they doubled the number of sales and quickly learned their little ranch of 25 head of cattle would come nowhere near what was needed to produce for the volume of the restaurant. However, they did find some ways to share their passion by doing specials and a daily protein that includes their ranch or local ranches as an option.
